Origin
XANAEL was born within Grupo Rubio Servicios Higiénicos Integrales, a company with over 25 years of experience in pest control, environmental management and hygienic treatments.
Its founders — Carlos, Iñaki and José Javier Rubio Carrera — identified a structural gap: cities lack physical surface-level infrastructure to prevent and control pests before they access buildings.
From this premise, XANAEL was designed and patented: a precast concrete technical curb that integrates an accessible interior chamber, ready for early detection, monitoring and control of urban pests.
Innovation
XANAEL introduces a new concept in urban environmental health: preventive infrastructure integrated at the surface level.
The system is patented in Spain and is installed like a conventional curb in the urban road network. No additional construction work is required once installed.
Its interior chamber allows the integration of early detection, monitoring and pest control systems, while maintaining the aesthetics of public spaces.
The system is compatible with integrated pest management (GIP / IPM) as required by European regulations and can operate alongside any company in the sector.
Team
The XANAEL team is made up of professionals in the environmental health sector with extensive experience in urban pest management and technical solutions applied to urban environments.
The system was presented to the professional sector at EXPOCIDA 2026, the leading environmental health congress in Spain, where the concept was showcased to manufacturers, pest control companies and municipal authorities.
