In September 2025, XANAEL took its first major step in the institutional sphere. The Ayuntalia fair, held from 18 to 20 September in Ribaforada (Navarra), was the chosen setting for the public presentation of the XANAEL system: a preventive urban sanitary infrastructure designed for surface-level pest management.
The event reached one of its highlights with the visit of Elma Saiz, Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, and Tirso Calvo, Mayor of Ribaforada. Both learned first-hand about the solution developed by Carlos, Iñaki and José Javier Rubio Carrera, inventors of the patent.
During the institutional visit, the system concept was presented: a precast concrete curb that integrates an interior technical chamber designed to house pest detection, monitoring and control systems, enabling surface-level action before the problem reaches the interior of buildings.

Participation in Ayuntalia marked the project's first direct contact with municipal officials and urban management technicians, who were able to learn about the system and its integration into the urban road network as a permanent prevention element.
The XANAEL stand, presented under the umbrella of Grupo Rubio, received visits from mayors, municipal technicians and heads of urban services interested in new structural solutions for pest management in urban environments.

XANAEL system principles
Safety
Designed to reduce the risks associated with traditional exposed bait systems, protecting people, children and pets.
Sustainability
Helps minimise rodenticide dispersal and reduce environmental impact on soils and drainage networks.
Discretion
Aesthetically integrated into the urban road network, forming part of the street furniture without altering public spaces.
Prevention
Enables the establishment of permanent surface-level surveillance and control points, acting before the problem reaches buildings.

Ayuntalia 2025 thus marked the beginning of a new chapter for the XANAEL project: its presentation to the municipal sphere and the opening of new avenues of dialogue with public administrations interested in preventive solutions for urban pest management.
